This is a translation; the French version is the reference text.
GoDream is local-first: your dream, your steps and your streak live on your phone. This document says what leaves it, when, and where to — without vague wording.
What stays on your phone
Everything, by default: your dream, your why, the list of your micro-actions, what you did and when, your streak, the time of your daily appointment. Without an account, none of it leaves the device — and ticking "done" never waits for the network.
What leaves, and why
Only if you agreed — the app asks before the first send, and you can withdraw it in Profile → Your data: your dream text and, if you filled it in, your why are sent to our server, just long enough to break that dream into micro-actions. The breakdown is done by an Anthropic model (Claude) or, when it is unavailable, by an OpenAI model, which therefore receives that text. The same round trip happens when you ask for an action to be broken down further (that action), and for the coach lesson (your dream, your why and your latest steps). Neither your name nor your e-mail is sent. Neither Anthropic, OpenAI nor we use these texts to train a model. Without your agreement nothing is sent: your plan comes from our catalogue, inside the app.
If you create an account
Your e-mail address (or the identifier returned by Google or Apple) and your dreams are then backed up with our database host, Supabase, in the European Union. Row-level access rules mean only your account can read your data. An account is optional: the app works entirely without one, and "Later" blocks nothing.
Usage measurement
The app records usage events — the app was opened, an action was done, onboarding was finished — sent to PostHog, on its European servers. They serve one question only: do people come back to do their micro-action? They never contain your dream text. You can turn this measurement off entirely in Profile → Your data, and the app keeps working exactly the same.
Link counting
When you open a GoDream link (a share, or a link from a social network), our website getgodream.com counts the click before sending you to your store: the link's channel, the type of device (iOS, Android or computer) and the site you came from, sent to PostHog on its European servers. No cookie, no stored identifier and no profile: two clicks by the same person cannot be linked together. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in knowing which channels make GoDream known. Retention: 14 months at most.
What we do not do
No advertising, no ad network, no advertising profile, no cross-app tracking identifier (no IDFA). Your data is neither sold nor rented, and goes to no data broker.
Subscription
Payments are handled by the App Store or Google Play, through RevenueCat. GoDream never sees your payment details: we only receive whether your subscription is active.
Reminders
The daily reminder is a local notification, scheduled by your phone. It is not sent from a server and tells us nothing.
Deleting your data
"Delete this dream" (Settings) permanently erases that dream, its steps and its streak, on the device and on the server if you have an account. "Delete my account" (Settings) erases the account and everything attached to it server-side; this is irreversible. Uninstalling the app is enough to erase what is local.
Your rights
You can request access to your data, its correction, its deletion or its portability by writing to contact@getgodream.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

What this site processes
The above is the app's policy, word for word. The getgodream.com site also processes the following.
- Beta sign-up — your email address, the platform you chose (iOS or Android), the sign-up date, the link that brought you (a share, for instance) and your browser's technical description (user agent), used only to filter out automated sign-ups. Stored with Google (Firebase, European Union), readable by us only.
Legal basis: your consent, given by submitting the form.
Retention: up to 12 months after the app's public release, or until you ask for deletion if that comes first. - Audience measurement — if and only if you accepted it in the banner: PostHog, on its European servers, sets a cookie and records page views, clicks, beta sign-ups and session replays. Until you accept, no measurement script loads and no cookie is set. This data is never matched with your email address.
Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time — .
Retention: 14 months at most. - Hosting — the site is served by Firebase Hosting (Google). Like any web server, it receives your IP address for as long as it takes to answer, and Google keeps technical logs for the security of the service.
This site sets no other cookie: no advertising, no social network, no resale. The data controller is the publisher named in the legal notice; for any request: contact@getgodream.com.
